"Smooth Indigo" is a jazz band fronted by female vocals and backed by some very experienced musicians.

Using a hand-picked selection of great songs, we're committed to creating something different and unique.

The band can do a more traditional set, playing a mixture of JAZZ STANDARDS with classics such as 'Fly Me To The Moon', 'At Last' and other recognisable tunes to get the audience dancing, singing along and reminiscing the old days. We take inspiration from many of the greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, George Shearing, Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson, Duke Ellington, amongst other greats.

The band can also play VINTAGE COVERS OF MODERN SONGS ('Postmodern Jukebox' style) to appeal to a modern day audience but still keeping a swing and jazz style alive. We can cover a wide range of tracks from 'Valerie', to The Killer's 'Mr Brightside' or even Ed Sheeran. Our repertoire is always expanding and evolving and we are happy to take on new requests to add to our repertoire.

The band are based in Manchester but are willing to travel all over the UK. We're happy to take on any type of gig from a little jazz club or restaurant, to functions and weddings, to jazz festivals.
